For Garnish
  • 1 cup basil Fresh basil for garnish.
  • balsamic glaze Optional for garnishing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add the chicken, and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.
  4. Add halved cherry tomatoes and minced garlic around the chicken in the baking dish.
  5. Top the chicken and tomatoes with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  7. Let it rest for a few minutes and garnish with fresh basil and balsamic glaze before serving.
