Step-by-Step Instructions

  3. Combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl and mix until smooth.
  4. Fold in graham cracker crumbs and optional nuts into the mixture.
  5. Stuff the hollowed apples with the cheesecake filling.
  6. Place the apples in a baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes until tender.
  8. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Optionally top with whipped cream.
