  • 1 lb Kielbasa Sausage or chicken sausage for a lighter option

  • 2 large Russet Potatoes or Yukon Gold for a softer bite
  • 1 medium Onion or shallots for milder flavor
  • 2 cloves Garlic fresh recommended
For the Topping
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese or mozzarella or Gruyère
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley optional garnish
For Cooking
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil or butter for richer flavor
  • 1 tsp Paprika optional
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sliced kielbasa. Sauté for about 5 minutes until browned.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 3 minutes until onions are translucent.
  4. Grease a medium baking dish with olive oil and layer cubed potatoes, sautéed onion, garlic, and kielbasa.
  5. Sprinkle paprika, salt, and pepper, then top generously with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is golden brown.
  7. Let sit for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
