For Assembly

Method
 

Steps
  1. Prepare the Cake Batter by mixing the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water until smooth. Fold in 5 chopped Oreos. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake the Cake: Pour batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely for 30 minutes.
  3. Make the Frosting: Beat together the butter and shortening until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla, then mix in milk or coffee creamer until fluffy.
  4. Prepare Jars for Assembly: Crumble cooled cake into the bottom of each jar to create a firm base.
  5. Assemble the Layers: Pipe a layer of blue frosting over the cake. Add a layer of chopped cookies. Repeat layers until jars are filled.
  6. Finish with Decoration: Pipe a swirl of blue frosting on top. Place candy eyes and a chocolate chip cookie half to create a fun Cookie Monster face.
  7. Present and Serve: Optionally wrap jars with blue ribbon. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Add cookie garnishes just before serving.
