Step-by-Step Instructions for Apple Pie Egg Rolls
  1. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon until fully combined. Melt some butter and pour it into the dry mixture, stirring until it forms a clumpy streusel texture.
  2. Lay out your egg roll wraps on a clean surface and spoon about 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling into the center of each wrap. Sprinkle a small amount of the prepared streusel topping over the filling.
  3. Brush the edges of each wrap lightly with melted butter, fold the bottom corner over the filling, bring the sides in towards the center, and roll the wrap tightly.
  4. Heat vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C). Check if it's ready by dropping in a small bit of bread—if it sizzles, it’s ready.
  5. Carefully place the assembled egg rolls into the hot oil in batches. Fry each egg roll for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown.
  6. Once golden brown, use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried egg rolls to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts and drizzle caramel over the top.
