  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper freshly ground

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel the Yukon Gold potatoes and slice them thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, combine the sliced potatoes with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss until coated.
  4. Lightly grease a pan and layer the potato slices, sprinkling Parmesan between layers.
  5. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Let the torte rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Optionally, garnish with thyme or balsamic vinegar.
