Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Place chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker and sprinkle Cajun seasoning over them. Pour chicken broth around the chicken.
  2. Add unsalted butter cubes evenly over the chicken. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours until chicken is fork-tender.
  3. Remove the lid and shred the chicken with two forks, mixing gently to coat in the sauce.
  4. Whisk together cornstarch and cold water in a bowl, then stir into the shredded chicken along with heavy cream. Cook on HIGH for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  5. Prepare the long grain white rice according to package instructions. Rinse before cooking to achieve a fluffy texture.
  6. Ladle the chicken over the fluffy rice and garnish with parsley, black pepper, and paprika flakes before serving.
