Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by placing your boneless chicken thighs or breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Layer the diced onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger over the chicken.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the cumin, coriander, turmeric, and garam masala and sprinkle over the chicken and aromatics.
  4. Pour the creamy coconut milk and tomato sauce over the chicken and spices.
  5. Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  6. Once the chicken is tender, use two forks to shred the pieces in the pot and mix into the creamy sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
