Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into strips approximately 2 inches wide.
- Place a spoonful of filling on one half of each pastry strip, fold it over, and pinch the edges to seal. Twist the ends to shape.
- Beat the egg and use it to coat the tops of each twist for a golden finish.
- Bake the twists for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
