Step-by-Step Instructions for Soft Pretzel Bites
  1. In a stand mixer, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Slowly pour in warm milk and melted butter. Mix on medium speed for 4-5 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  2. Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl and cover. Allow to rise in a warm area for 30 to 60 minutes until doubled in size.
  3. Punch down the dough gently, divide into 12 pieces, roll into ropes, and cut into bite-sized pieces, shaping into balls.
  4. In a large saucepan, bring water and baking soda to a boil. Drop pretzel bites for 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet.
  5. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Brush the bites with an egg wash, sprinkle with salt, and bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
