Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat in a medium saucepan.
  3. Whisk in 2 cups of granulated sugar until smooth and then remove from heat to cool slightly.
  4. Beat in 4 large eggs, one at a time, followed by 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 0.5 teaspoon of salt.
  6. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients using a spatula until just combined.
  7. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
  10. Lift the brownies out of the pan and cut them into squares or rectangles.
  11. Melt the candy melts and drizzle them over the brownies in a crisscross pattern.
  12. Sprinkle mini candy bows or holiday sprinkles on top and allow the decorations to harden for about 10-15 minutes.
