  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Panko works great for a light texture, or use gluten-free crumbs if necessary.
  • 0.5 cup Milk Substitute with dairy-free milk for a vegan-friendly option.
  • 1 large Egg Consider a flax egg if making it plant-based (1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp water).
  • 0.5 cup Minced Onion Adds a sweet, aromatic flavor.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Boosts flavor with its enticing aroma.

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Meatloaf
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your loaf pan by greasing or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with the milk and let them soak for about one minute.
  3. Add ground beef, egg, minced onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, and dried oregano or Italian seasoning to the soaked breadcrumbs. Mix gently with your hands, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing and leveling the top. Brush a layer of ketchup over the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the top is golden.
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute.
  7. Slice the meatloaf and serve warm with your favorite sides.
