Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by thoroughly cleaning your button mushrooms using a damp paper towel or a soft brush to remove any dirt.
  2. In a large sauté pan, heat about two tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the prepared mushrooms to the pan.
  3. Sauté the mushrooms for 10–15 minutes, stirring frequently, until they are golden brown and have released their moisture.
  4. Lower the heat slightly and stir in 2 tablespoons of miso paste, along with 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Cook for about 3 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Remove from heat and drizzle in a tablespoon of rice vinegar to brighten the dish. Serve immediately.
