Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by popping enough plain, lightly salted popcorn to fill about 16 cups, and spread it into a large mixing bowl to cool.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, melt 3 cups of mini marshmallows and 4 tablespoons of butter until smooth, about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour the marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and stir gently to coat thoroughly without leaving dry pieces.
  4. Lightly butter your hands and shape the mixture into balls about the size of golf balls, placing them on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Allow the shaped popcorn balls to cool for about 30 minutes to 1 hour to set.
  6. Melt the candy melts according to package instructions and dip the tops of each popcorn ball, adding candy eyeballs before it sets.
  7. Let the candy coating harden completely, which will take about 10 to 15 minutes at room temperature.
