  • 1 can Black Beans Drained and rinsed
  • 1 lb Sausage Sliced or crumbled based on preference
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil For sautéing
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 small Onion Chopped
  • 1 cup Bell Pepper Chopped

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions, garlic, and bell pepper, sauté until soft.
  2. Add sliced or crumbled sausage to the pot, cook until browned.
  3. Stir in cumin and chili powder, cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add rice, black beans, and chicken broth to the pot. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
  6. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
