  • 0.5 cups Parmesan Cheese optional
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning or dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Paprika smoked paprika can be used
  • to taste Salt & Pepper for seasoning
  • 1.5 cups Beef Broth/Water or vegetable broth for a lighter base
  • 0.5 cups Milk optional for creaminess
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley for garnish, optional

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
  3. Stir in chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until onions are translucent.
  4. Spread the meat mixture evenly in the baking dish, layer sliced potatoes on top, and season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the potatoes, pour beef broth or water around the edges, and drizzle with milk if desired.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and potatoes are tender.
  7. Let casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving, garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
