- Combine warm water, instant dry yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 3-5 minutes until frothy.
- Whisk together bread flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients along with canola oil, honey, and molasses. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough using a stand mixer or by hand until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes in a mixer or 10-12 minutes by hand.
