  • 1 lb shrimp sweet and tender
  • 8 oz langostino tails substitute with lobster if desired
  • 1 cup jumbo lump crabmeat preferably refrigerated
  • 1 onion yellow or white
  • 1 bell pepper any variety
  • 2 stalks celery finely chopped
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
For the Creamy Gravy
  • 2 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth for vegetarian
  • 1 cup heavy cream can substitute with half-and-half
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil for dairy-free
  • 1/4 cup flour gluten-free if needed
  • 2 cloves garlic minced or paste
  • 1 tsp thyme fresh or dried
  • 1 tsp tarragon fresh or dried
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika adjust to spice preference
For the Biscuit Topping
  • 1 pkg Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix
  • 3/4 cup milk or non-dairy alternatives
  • 1 cup mild cheddar cheese or sharper for more flavor
  • 1 tbsp garlic herb seasoning

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Sear the seafood in a heated skillet until opaque; remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté diced onions, bell peppers, and celery in the same skillet until soft.
  3. Add butter to vegetables, create a roux with flour, then mix in broth and cream.
  4. Stir in garlic, thyme, tarragon, salt, pepper, and paprika; simmer until thick.
  5. Fold seafood back into the gravy, allowing to simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Prepare biscuit topping by mixing biscuit mix, milk, and cheddar until just combined.
  7. Pour seafood filling into a baking dish and dollop biscuit dough on top; bake at 425°F.
  8. Melt butter with garlic herb seasoning and brush over the biscuits once baked.
