Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all your ingredients and prepare your work area.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté diced onions for about 5 minutes until soft. Add minced garlic, dried sage, dried thyme, pepper, and salt, cooking for an additional minute. Add crumbled sausage meat and cook until browned.
  3. Roll out thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Trim edges to ensure a clean rectangle.
  4. Spoon cooled sausage filling along one edge of the pastry. Roll the pastry over filling tightly and seal edges.
  5. Slice rolled pastry into 2-inch segments. Brush tops with beaten egg to create a shiny finish.
  6. Place assembled rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
