Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently and let rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Shape the mixture into 4-6 patties, about ¾ inch thick. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked to medium (160°F).
  4. In the same skillet, add flour to the drippings, stirring for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in beef broth and add bouillon cube. Simmer.
  5. Return the cooked patties to the skillet and simmer in gravy for 10 minutes.
  6. Plate the steaks and spoon gravy over them, serving with mashed potatoes, rice, or cornbread.
