For the Stir Fry
  • 1 pound Chicken Breast sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil or use sesame oil for added flavor
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger minced
  • 1 Bell Pepper sliced
  • 1 Onion sliced, yellow or red works best
  • 3 tablespoons Gochujang spicy umami sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce use gluten-free if needed
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil optional
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or maple syrup for a vegan option
  • Sesame Seeds optional, for garnish
  • Green Onions for garnish, optional

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add 1 pound of sliced chicken breast to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 tablespoon of minced ginger into the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Toss in sliced bell pepper and onion and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons of gochujang, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon of honey.
  6. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetable mixture. Stir thoroughly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, then serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
