Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add 1 pound of sliced chicken breast to the skillet, ensuring it's in a single layer for even cooking. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
- Once the chicken is cooked, stir in 2 cloves of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of minced ginger, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Next, add sliced bell pepper and onion to the skillet. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender yet still crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix together 3 tablespoons of gochujang, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and honey.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetables in the skillet. Stir well to combine. Allow it to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top for finishing touch. Serve the stir fry hot over steamed rice or noodles.
