Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  2. Place the ready-rolled puff pastry on the tray. Score the pastry into thirds lengthwise without cutting through.
  3. Slice diagonally down both sides to create even strips, leaving the center portion intact for filling.
  4. Mix the full-fat cream cheese, lemon curd, icing sugar, vanilla extract, and cornflour until smooth.
  5. Remove a small triangle from the center and fill it with the cream cheese mixture, spreading evenly.
  6. Fold the pastry strips over the filling, alternating sides, to create a braided pattern.
  7. Brush the braid with beaten egg and bake for 17-22 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes before serving warm or at room temperature.
