Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 2-quart baking dish.

  3. Pour in the milk, maple syrup, melted butter, the egg or chia/flax egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Transfer the oatmeal mixture to the baking dish, smoothing it out evenly.
  5. In a saucepan, melt more butter, stir in maple syrup, and coat the chopped pecans before topping the oatmeal.
  6. Distribute the pecan mixture over the top, then bake for 35-40 minutes until golden.
  7. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving warm, optionally drizzling with maple syrup or milk.
