Ingredients
  

For the Noodles
  • 8 oz Udon Noodles or soba/rice noodles if preferred
For the Protein
  • 1 lb Boneless Chicken Breast can substitute beef or turkey
For the Vegetables
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers mix varieties for color
  • 1 cup Carrots julienned or thinly sliced
  • 3 stalks Green Onions chopped for garnish
For the Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce or low-sodium option
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil rich, nutty flavor
  • 1 cup Vegetable Broth or chicken broth as alternative
For the Aromatics
  • 2 cloves Garlic Cloves minced, adjust to taste

Equipment

Method
 

Prepare Noodles
  1. Cook the udon noodles according to package instructions, boiling them for 8-10 minutes until tender but chewy. Drain and rinse under cold water.
Sauté Chicken
  1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Remove and let rest.
Stir-Fry Vegetables
  1. In the same skillet, stir-fry bell peppers and carrots in more sesame oil for 3-4 minutes until bright and tender.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Return chicken to the skillet, add udon noodles, soy sauce, and vegetable broth. Stir gently for 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
Add Garlic & Garnish
  1. In the last minute, add minced garlic, stir and remove from heat. Garnish with chopped green onions.
Serve Enjoyably
  1. Plate the Yaki Udon Noodles, optionally drizzled with extra soy sauce.
