Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Crumbled Feta Cheese Goat cheese is a good substitute.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for gluten-free option.
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil Avocado oil can be used.
  • 4 pieces Burger Buns Lettuce wraps can be used as a low-carb alternative.
For the Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt Dairy-free yogurt for vegan option.
  • 1/2 cup Grated Cucumber Ensure to drain excess moisture.
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice Red wine vinegar can be substituted.
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Dill Use dried dill in lesser amounts if needed.

Method
 

Prepare the Burger Mixture
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, minced garlic, grated onion, chopped parsley, mint, dried oregano, crumbled feta, breadcrumbs, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Use your hands to gently mix until all the ingredients are evenly distributed, then shape into four patties.
Cook the Chicken Patties
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Once shimmering, place the patties in the skillet and cook for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and juices run clear.
Make the Tzatziki Sauce
  1. In a medium bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, dill, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth.
Toast the Buns
  1. Toast the burger buns in the skillet or a toaster until golden brown.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Spread tzatziki on the bottom half of each bun, layer with lettuce, place a patty, and top with a slice of tomato and the top bun.
