  • 4 cups Beef Broth or Bouillon Low-sodium options recommended.
  • 1 cup Dry Red Wine Use extra beef broth for a non-alcoholic option.
  • 1 leaf Bay Leaf Remove before serving.
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Fresh Parsley Optional garnish.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a Dutch oven, pour in olive oil and sauté sliced onions for 15-20 minutes until golden-brown.
  3. Brown cubed beef chuck in the same pot for 5-10 minutes until nicely browned.
  4. Return sautéed onions to the pot and stir in the remaining ingredients except the bay leaf.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, add a bay leaf, then lower the heat and cover slightly.
  6. Transfer the pot to your preheated oven and braise for 1.5 to 2 hours until beef is fork-tender.
  7. Remove from oven, discard bay leaf, adjust seasoning, and serve garnished with parsley.
