For the Beef
  • 1 lb Sirloin Steak Slice thinly against the grain
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch Coats beef for crispy texture
For Cooking
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil Any neutral oil can be used
  • 1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil Regular oil can be used if preferred
For the Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic Fresh minced or garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Minced Ginger Fresh preferred, ground works too
  • 1/2 cup Reduced-Sodium Soy Sauce Swap for regular if desired
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar Coconut sugar can work
  • 1 cup Chicken or Beef Broth Vegetable broth is a lighter option
For the Vegetables
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Adjust to spice preference
  • 1 cup Broccoli Swap with green beans or snap peas
  • 1 medium Carrot Bell peppers or zucchini are alternatives
  • 2 stalks Scallions Chives can be used as a substitute
For Serving
  • 2 tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds Optional for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the instant ramen according to package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes, until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Coat the sirloin steak with cornstarch and add it to the skillet in a single layer. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  4. Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, sauté for about 1 minute while stirring constantly.
  5. Pour in soy sauce, brown sugar, and broth, stir, then simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add broccoli and carrot to the skillet, cook for another 2-3 minutes until tender yet crisp.
  7. Fold the cooked noodles into the skillet with beef and vegetables, toss to coat in sauce, and heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with scallions and sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.
