Step-by-Step Instructions for Western Omelet Quiche
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prick the bottom of your frozen pie crust to prevent bubbling. Bake for 5 minutes, then set aside to cool.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, then add the chopped bell peppers and green onions. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle half of the chopped smoked ham across the pie crust bottom, followed by half of the cheese.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, eggs, garlic salt, black pepper, onion powder, and ground mustard. Stir in the sautéed vegetables.
  5. Pour half of the egg mixture over the ham and cheese, then layer the remaining ham and cheese, followed by the rest of the egg mixture.
  6. Bake on a baking sheet for 10 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 30-40 minutes until set.
  7. Allow cooling on a wire rack for 20 minutes before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

For a crustless option, use a greased dish instead of a pie crust. The quiche can be made a day in advance and reheated.
