Step-by-Step Instructions for Western Omelet Quiche
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prick the bottom of your frozen pie crust to prevent bubbling. Bake for 5 minutes, then set aside to cool.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, then add the chopped bell peppers and green onions. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Sprinkle half of the chopped smoked ham across the pie crust bottom, followed by half of the cheese.
- In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, eggs, garlic salt, black pepper, onion powder, and ground mustard. Stir in the sautéed vegetables.
- Pour half of the egg mixture over the ham and cheese, then layer the remaining ham and cheese, followed by the rest of the egg mixture.
- Bake on a baking sheet for 10 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 30-40 minutes until set.
- Allow cooling on a wire rack for 20 minutes before slicing and serving warm.

Notes
For a crustless option, use a greased dish instead of a pie crust. The quiche can be made a day in advance and reheated.
