Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and lemon zest to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until smoothly combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries, being careful not to crush them.
  7. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, topping each mound with reserved blueberries. Bake for about 12 minutes.
