Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven's broiler to high. Arrange slices of sourdough bread in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Broil the bread for 1–2 minutes until lightly golden-brown, keeping a close watch.
  3. Remove the baking sheet, flip the bread, layer sharp cheddar cheese on one slice, and return to broiler for 1–2 minutes until melted.
  4. After the cheese melts, place pickled jalapeños on top of the melted cheddar.
  5. On the other slice of toasted bread, smear with Dijon mustard and drizzle with honey. Add apple slices, red onion, and arugula.
  6. Sprinkle kettle potato chips over the arugula for added crunch.
  7. Close the sandwich with the cheese-topped slice, compress slightly, and slice in half to serve.
