Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter and granulated sugar. Use an electric mixer on medium speed to cream them until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate this dry mixture into the wet ingredients.
- Turn the dough onto a clean surface and divide it into three equal portions. Shape each into a round disk.
- Mix one portion of dough with strawberry powder and optional food gel. Blend matcha powder into another portion.
- Scoop out about 2 teaspoons of each color dough, press them side by side, stack them, and roll into a ball. Twist to create a marbled effect.
- Place the marbled dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them and flattening slightly.
- Bake for about 11 minutes, until just golden. Allow to cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
Avoid overmixing the dough to keep the cookies tender. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
