- In a small saucepan, combine diced strawberries, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes until the strawberries soften and release their juices, forming a syrupy consistency.
- Once the strawberries are cooked down, use a fork to mash them directly in the saucepan or blend for a smoother consistency. Set aside.
- In another saucepan, gently warm your choice of milk over medium-low heat until it's hot but not boiling. Froth the milk.
- Prepare a strong brew of coffee or espresso and pour into a large mug.
