- Prepare Apple Filling: Peel and slice apples into thin wedges. Cook with butter, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt for 5–7 minutes. Let cool.
- Make Pie Crust: Combine flour and salt, pulse in butter, add ice water, chill for at least 1 hour.
