Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Apple Filling: Peel and slice apples into thin wedges. Cook with butter, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt for 5–7 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Make Pie Crust: Combine flour and salt, pulse in butter, add ice water, chill for at least 1 hour.
  3. Prepare Toffee Sauce: Melt butter, stir in brown sugar and heavy cream, boil for 2–3 minutes, then cool slightly.
  4. Assemble Pie: Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll out crust, fill with apple mixture and toffee sauce, seal and cut slits in top.
