Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add your dried pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. With about 2-3 minutes left in the pasta cooking time, gently add the broccoli florets to the pot.
  4. Before draining, carefully reserve about ¾ cup of the pasta cooking water.
  5. In the same pot, pour in 2 tablespoons of olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30-60 seconds.
  6. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Pour in reserved pasta water while whisking.
  7. Return the drained pasta and broccoli to the pot, tossing in the sauce. Add ½ cup of shredded Parmesan and mix well.
  8. Taste and adjust seasonings. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
