- Press the extra firm tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
- Place tofu cubes in a resealable bag with cornstarch and garlic powder. Seal and shake until coated.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange tofu in a single layer and air fry for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger paste, rice vinegar, and water in a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
- Transfer air-fried tofu to a saucepan, pour sauce over and stir gently to coat. Sauté for 2-3 minutes to thicken sauce.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds, cilantro, and green onions. Serve over rice or noodles.
